Sax Point Manor won Gold for Best New Home Design and Best Detached Custom Home over 3000 s.f. at the Vancouver Island Care Awards
This 3000 square foot English arts and crafts home with a beautifully appointed interior, boasting an impressive open floor plan with an ultra high vaulted ceiling is both airy and light, warm and cozy.
The project was originally to be a renovation of 1949 bungalow, but the homeowners eventually decided a new build was better suited to the product they wanted in the end, and decided to take on a new build.
The footprint was designed around an existing in ground pool and patio in the rear yard. Careful consideration was given to the day to day interaction of coming and going to and from home and work, with provision for direct access through the pantry or alternatively through the mud room.
Let's Discuss Your Plans
The exterior is ornate with the English arts and crafts theme, with thoughtfully placed trim work, decorative wood braces and stone veneer, while the interior is laced with wainscoting, window and door trim, baseboards and intricate stair railings.
This home was featured in the October and December issue of the local Boulevard publication.
The open great room plan has a stunning vaulted ceiling that rises above and over a connecting bridge on the upper floor to land gracefully down to impress at the front entrance.
This home has a welcoming exterior, that will always be timeless as much as it will be a pleasure to reside in.
